Susan Dentzer is the editor-in-chief of the journal,
Health Affairs, published by Project Hope. Previously, she has served as the on-air correspondent with
The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS; the economics correspondent and columnist for
U.S. News & World Report;
and senior writer on business news for Newsweek. One of the nation’s
most respected health policy journalists, Ms. Dentzer has won numerous
awards, including the 2005 Award for Excellence in Health Care
Journalism from the Association of Health Care Journalists. She is a
member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the board of
directors of the International Rescue Committee. Ms. Dentzer is the
first woman to serve as chair of the board of her alma mater, Dartmouth
College, where she also holds an honorary MA, and from Muskingum
College, where she holds an honorary doctorate of letters.
