Geeta Borbor is a Liberian citizen born on December 23, 1989. Her parents are Mr. Anthony Borbor and Miss Victoria Weah. Her family originates from Grand Kru County. However, due to the civil war and other factors, the family now lives in Montserrado County. But her father currently works and resides in Grand Bassa County.

 

Geeta started her primary education at the Wollor Greene Foundation School in Barnersville Community, Monrovia. After completing the fifth grade, she travelled to Ghana and enrolled at the Datus Mission School in Kasoa.

 

She spent five years in Ghana before returning to Liberia and enrolling at the Dominion Christian School. She started Dominion from the 10th grade up to her graduation from Senior High School in 2010. She obtained a High School Diploma and a West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate.

 

Geeta is a Christian and a member of the Dominion Christian Fellowship Church in Monrovia, Congo Town.

 

For many years now, she has been a Track and Field Athlete running up to 400 meters. She participates regularly in the Liberian National County Meets and has won silver, bronze and gold medals.

 

Geeta is a member of the Five Strip Athletic Club in Monrovia.

 

This year she will be running along with many other young athletes in the BHP Billiton Marathon on August 28, 2011.

 

She wants to dedicate this race to her entire family who has always shown her love and support throughout her career.
