Peter Utaka born in Enugu is a Nigerian footballer currently playing for Danish club Odense Boldklub.

He is the younger brother of John Utaka, who plays at Portsmouth. Utaka is a fast forward known for his dribbling qualities. On the 21st of September 2009, national coach Shaibu Amodu picked him for the Nigerian national football team.

He had a brief stint in Egypt with Ismaily when his elder brother played there. He didn't stay long at Ismaili because John wanted him to play in Europe. With the help of childhood friend and former junior international Felix Ogbuke, who was based in the UAE then, Peter was taken to that direction but nothing came out of it. He was in Croatia as a 16-year old and played alongside Arsenal striker Eduardo at Dinamo Zagreb.

He stormed Belgium from Dinamo and pitched tents with K. Patro Eisden Maasmechelen in the third division where he became an instant hit, hitting targets regularly. He was top scorer in his very first season. KVC Westerlo whisked him away from the obscurity of Belgian football. In his very first season at the top flight, young Peter netted 11 goals. His efforts from his sweet combination with Brazilian striker Jaja Coelho, who now plays in Ukraine.

He joined Royal Antwerp FC in January 2007 where he quickly became a first team regular. Together with his teammates he helped to qualify Antwerp for the playoffs in which they finished second. On August the 30th 2008 it was announced that Utaka would join Danish club OB.

He made his long awaited debut for Nigeria in a 5–2 home win over Congo DR on March 3, 2010. He scored the first goal and assisted on the second, despite only getting the callup late after the NFF called his mother looking for him.
