Dan Kaseje received his MBChB and M/Med in Community Health from the
University of Nairobi Medical School, his MPH in Tropical Public Health
from Harvard School of Public Health, and his PhD in Tropical Medicine
from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 1988. He
is currently the vice chancellor at Great Lakes University of Kisumu.
Prior to this position, he served as director of the Tropical Institute
of Community Health and Development (TICH), executive director of the
Christian Health Association of Kenya and general secretary of
Afri-CAN. He also previously worked as general director for Community
Initiatives Support Services International, acting director for the
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’
Department of Community Health and Social Welfare Head and Director of
the World Council of Churches’ Christian Medical Commission.
