Organization Details

Rescue Widows, Elderly, Youth and Orphans with AIDS (RWEYOWA) is a non profit organisation in Uganda which started in 2003 as a community based organization and emerged to become a certified Non governmental organization in 2009.

In the endeavor to realize its mission, RWEYOWA is involved in the implentation of a number of interventions including:

  • Community outreach
  • Comprehensive HIV/AIDS awareness and sensitization
  • HIV/AIDS counseling and testing
  • Orphan support/spomip
  • Adolescent and sexual reproductive health activities

RWEYOWA welcomes volunteers from all parts of the world in the endeavor to increase efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

RWEYOWA's HIV/AIDS prevention activities target the entire community adn the HIV/AIDS care and support interventions target thewidows, elderly people, youth and orphans affected/infected with the virus in the community.
