Mission Statement
CEAS - Centre Ecologique Albert Schweitzer - is a Swiss NGO dedicated to tackling poverty in Africa combining economy and ecology. Active for more than 25 years in Africa, CEAS aims at sharing its expertise in sustainable development in order to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged communities in Burkina Faso, Senegal and Madagascar. Hands in hands with local partners, we invent and share innovations that help them build their own future while protecting the environment. We manage projects in the three following countries : * Burkina Faso * Senegal * Madagascar Through consultancy, we also offer our services to other organisations that would share our vision. It thus allows us to touch as many beneficiaries as possible thoughout so called "third world countries".

Vision

Technical innovation and the promotion of natural ressources contribute to the rise of a green, social and thriving Africa.

Mission

Through our network, we contribute to alimentary self-sufficiency while promoting renewable energies in Africa.

We stimulate technical innovations et know-how before spreading them
to farmers, craftsmen and small african entrepreneurs so that they can
generate their own incomes.
Philosophy

Our NGO has been working since 1980 with the same philosophy :

« We contribute to tackle poverty through eco-friendly economic activities»

Thanks to our three local offices, we manage our own projects and programs. They are funded thanks to the generosity of a number of institutions and private people.

At the core of these projects, applied research and practical training allow us to invent or adapt sustainable techniques that will be shared with as many beneficiaries as possible. They are grouped in four different categories :

1. Renewable energies
2. Alimentary security
3. Agroecology
4. Waste management and recycling

Each year, because of insufficient funding, we have to give up running worthy and urgent projects. Help us achieving our goals in Africa!
