Organization Details
The Africa Centre was established in 1961 to educate the British public about Africa. The center organizes performances and exhibitions of African arts, undertakes development education, produces and broadcasts a weekly radio program "Talking Africa," and acts as a resource and information center on Africa. Dr. Adotey Bing, who has been director the center for ten years, is a Ghanaian economist who has worked in Zambia and published widely on Africa and is on the board of a number of related organizations.
