Organization Details
AFPO is a registered non-governmental organization with the objective of promoting peace and human security in the region. APFO's mission is to contribute to the prevention, resolution and effective management of conflict by engaging all actors in developing collaborative approaches towards lasting peace and enhanced human security in the Greater Horn of Africa and beyond. AFPO participates in the Great Lakes Early Warning and Response Network (GLEWN) and the Forum on Early Warning and Early Response. It is also the regional coordinating body for the International Resource Group (IRG), an initiative of Project Ploughshares.
