Sapo is a lush 1809 square kilometers (689 square miles) of some of West Africas last remaining primary rainforest with elephants, pygmy hippos, chinpanzees, antelopes and other wildlife. Sapo is starting to rebuild infastructure of the park and enforcing the protection of wildlife whose populations suffered during years of fighting.
