This infamous park is home to large prides of lions and many visitors report spotting them on the hunt. Cheetas and leopards also stalk the park, and elephants, buffalos, zebras and hippos are common.

The best time to come to the park is in July and August when the wildebeest migrate north from the Serengeti by the millions.

Geographic features of the park include the breath-taking Esoit Oloololo (Siria) Escarpment and the Mara River.

The park spans about 940 square miles.
