Off the beaten path for most tourists, Ksar Megabla is an old, three-storey Ksar (grain storage). Hardly anybody visits, so more than likely you'll have the whole place to yourself. As of 2004, it was possible to go into the little rooms where grain was once stored and even possible to go on the roof. There is a small cafe that serves mint tea in a small converted room. It is free. However, getting there can be difficult. Options include taking a cab, walking and hitchhiking. Walking in the intense summer heat, though, is not advisable.
