The young midfielder has enjoyed success in the national squad, having proven to be a real contender for a starting place in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The midfielder has excellent tackling skills and has the ability to control the middle of the park. He is a good passer of the ball and has a powerful shot.

He predominately uses his left foot and although he is a defensive midfielder, he rarely gets involved in attacking situations.
