Issiar Dia is a French-born Senegalese footballer. He currently plays for the Turkish Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe.

In the summer of 2006 changed the Senegalese for € 2 million transfer to French club AS Nancy. He quickly developed into an important first team player at AS Nancy and has made well over 100 official appearances for the French outfit. He played regularly for AS Nancy, but scored only six goals for them in his first three seasons. However the 2009-10 season was the start of a new beginning for him as he netted eight times in 33 outings.


On 21 July 2010, Fenerbahçe announced that Dia had joined the team on a four-year contract for a sum of €6.5 million.[1][2] Dia ended a long scoring drought on 5 February 2011, with a goal against Manisaspor, as Fenerbahçe won 3–1 in the dying minutes of the game.


He is often deployed on the right side of the attack and quickly earned a call up to the France U-21 squad, the country of his birth. Despite this, after his 21st birthday, Dia chose to pledge his future to the Senegalese. He was selected for the squad the first time possible, against Gambia, and came on as a substitute in the 61st minute for Frederic Mendy.
