Chinedu Obasi is a forward for the Nigerian national football team. He plays club football for 1899 Hoffenheim in Germany.

After a two-year stint in the Norweigan football league with Lyn and a failed move to Russia's Locomotiv Moscow, Obasi moved to 1899 Hoffenheim, his current club, in August of 2007.

His first appearance for Nigeria was at the Under-20 championships in Netherlands in 2005, where he scored in the semi-final and final matches. He has scored three goals for Nigeria in 17 appearances.
