Loveness Gondwe is the presidential candidate for the New Rainbow Coalition (NARC) in Malawi's 2009 election.
Loveness Gondwe was born in 1967 in Chigonga Jere village.
She attended many different schools as her father was a teacher who was transferred often. Therefore, she attended Mzimba LEA, Lingadzi LEA, Bwaila secondary schools, Ekwendeni Girls seconday school.
Loveness holds two diplomas in secretarial management and hospitality. She cultivated an interest in politics when she worked as a secretary at the South African High Commission, and before returning to Malawi worked at the fifth UNDP Country Programme. She formed NARC in 2008 after leaving Aford, and has served on the Business Committee, a member of the Parliamentary Service Commission, deputy chairperson of Reforms Committee and is a member of the Pan African Parliament. In 1999, she was the only female MP in a 33-strong field of Aford MPs in the northern region.
