Dr. Ali Mahamud, co-founder and Executive Director of Generation for Change and Growth, graduated from the University of Minnesota. He joined the College of Biological Sciences before moving on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2006. Dr. Mahamud also holds a Diploma of Pharmacy (Dip-Pharm) from Kenya Medical College. He is a Clinical Pharmacist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minnesota. He worked for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics and CVS Pharmacies in the past.
Dr. Mahamud made an international outreach and network with other organizations to improve and advocate for better education for the youth. In his own words "helping the youth today means a better world tomorrow". His interest in education begins from his experience as a child with broken education system and his humble beginning.
