Organization Details
Gorée Institute is a Pan-African Public Interest Organization, exactly ten years old, run from a historic building on Gorée Island. It initiates research, hosts seminars and workshops, promotes networking, assists in institution building and deploys projects in the inter-related fields of democratization, development and cultural creativity in Africa. It is independent, governed by a Board of Trustees representing the experience and the expertise of a large number of African countries, and staffed by about 25 people.
