Organization Details
ISS is a regional strategic studies organization that aims to conceptualize, inform and enhance the security debate in Africa with a focus on human security. Its programmes include crime and justice, arms management, tracking and analysis of conflicts, organized crime, corruption and peacekeeping. ISS works closely with civil society organizations, governments, sub-regional, regional and international organizations, using applied policy research, awareness raising, monitoring and analysis of trends, training and capacity building to further the development of a stable and peaceful Africa.
