Sauti za Busara is an international music festival promoting the best in East African music as well as sounds from other parts of the African Continent and diaspora.
Festival 2011:
The 8th edition of Sauti za Busara will take place over five days from 9th to 13th Feb 2011 in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Centred in the historic Old Fort in Stone Town, the festival also features “Busara Xtra” fringe events around Zanzibar town, suburbs and rural locations. As always, Sauti za Busara commences with a blazing carnival procession through the streets of Stone Town, featuring beni brass band, drummers, clowns, stilt-walkers and acrobats.
