Located on the ground of Kilimanjaro National Park, this dormant, ice-capped volcano stands at 5891m.  Approximately 20,000 people attempt the summit every year as a result of it not recquiring extensive technical skills.  In order to climb, it is necessary to pay a park fee of around $30/day as well as some additional fees including a guide which usually runs about $20/day.
