Besides Grand Bassam, popular beaches are found in Assinie (1.5 hrs from Abidjan) and San Pedro/Sassandra (roughly 3 hours from Abidjan).

In Assinie, you will find many bungalow-style hotels as well as beach houses. There are usually vendors that walk along the beach and even camels, at times, that you can ride for leisure. A country with many lagoons, Cote d'Ivoire is not lacking in its crocodile population which served as inspiration for a dining venture in Assinie Mafia called Crocodile Dipi. It is a restaurant complete with a reptile zoo and fun water activities like jet skiing.

The San Pedro/Sassandra region uncovers some of the most beautiful and flawless beaches that are best exemplified by the Baie des Sirenes. Horseback riding and huge bonfires by night are amongst the enjoyable activities these beaches offer their visitors.
