Try to find a reliable tour guide to lead a group through this quarter of Agadez. There are small, private museums and other hidden treasures that outsiders miss without a local's direction. Use caution while taking photos; some Hausa people may demand money in return. When visitors ask politely, many local people open the doors to their homes so that tourists may see the beautiful paintings and carvings on the interior of the mud structures.Â
