All non-Ecowas citizens need visas to enter Ghana. You cannot get one at the port of entry so you need to contact the nearest Ghanaian consulate before you travel. Accra, the capital city, has the only international airport, Kotoka Airport, and is about 12 km from the city center. Taxis and airport shuttle are available and there are three internal airports located in Kumasi, Sunyani and Tamale. You will find car rentals and tour agencies all over the country for easy travel, although buses, minivans (tro-tro) and taxis are more common and relatively cheaper.
