The international and only main airport is in Banjul. Once in Gambia, transport depends on if you are in the north or the south. Along the south bank of the river, there is the tar road and along the north the dirt road. Taking a high-speed ferry on the river is also a possibility, or take a charter cruise as part of your trip.
